The reason I started using them is to save money. At $40 a carton for the cheapest, nastiest cigarettes, I was going broke. After learning how I could use electric cigarettes for the equivalent to $8 a carton I was interested in learning more.
I started this blog to help you decide for yourself if electronic cigarettes are right for you. You know you need to quit smoking. In fact, 71% of smokers want to quit smoking.
Unfortunately in California, smokers tried an average of 12 to 14 times before they were able to quit for good!
Let's face it smokers are in a bad situation. Besides spending over $1500 a year on tobacco cigarettes and dealing with tougher restrictions, smokers get pressure from their spouse, kids and friends about quitting. They risk heart disease, tumors and cancer. They experience yellow teeth, bad breath and they smell like smoke.
What makes the situation worst, is when they do finally decide to quit they experience tobacco and nicotine withdrawal symptoms, weight gain, irritability and lack on concentration.
All these reasons, make electric cigarettes a very interesting alternative to gum, patches and prescription drugs.
But buyer beware, the FDA has not approved electric cigarettes because no comprehensive tests have been conducted yet. You can read the FDA report here.
Learn more about the ecigarettes with a great ebook about electric cigarettes I found.
I hope you find this blog useful as you try to decide if you want to use electric cigarettes or traditional fda approved smoking cessation products.
